Frequently Asked Questions

How do I create a Smash App account?

+
It's simple: 1) Download Smash App from the App Store. 2) Sign up with your details. 3) Choose whether to verify your identity or skip it (we strongly recommend verifying). 4) Add your photos. 5) Start swiping. That's it.

Is my age verified?

+
By using the app, you confirm you're 18 or older. For the Verified badge, you can go through our identity verification process — we'll check your government-issued ID and run a liveness check to make sure you're a real person. Verification is optional, but verified users get way more trust and attention. Unverified users? They're at the bottom of the pile.

Why did my match expire?

+
All matches expire after 24 hours. This is by design — Smash App is built for fast-paced, no-nonsense connections. You match, you chat, you decide. If you're not feeling it, you can unmatch or end the chat at any time and move on to the next person. After 24 hours, the match and all messages are permanently deleted.

How many free swipes do I get?

+
The app is free to use. The only cost right now is for identity verification if you choose to get verified. We're working on a pay-as-you-go model that works for everybody — no subscriptions, no bullshit. That's rolling out soon. For now, enjoy the free app.

Can I get a refund on my swipe purchase?

+
If you've paid for identity verification and have a billing issue, contact us at [email protected] within 30 days with proof of payment. We'll look into it. Once our pay-as-you-go model launches, refund terms will be outlined clearly.

Is my location data private?

+
Location data is only used to show nearby matches and facilitate Uber rides. We don't store your location history permanently. You can disable location sharing in your device settings, but the App will have limited functionality without it. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

What happens to my messages after a match expires?

+
All messages are permanently deleted when a match expires. Smash App is designed for fast-paced connections — match, chat, move on. If you really want to keep talking to someone, you can exchange details before the timer runs out. But do that at your own risk. Anything that happens outside of Smash App is between you and them — we're not responsible for interactions that leave the platform. Be smart, be careful.

How do I report a user?

+
Tap the profile menu (three dots) on a user's profile and select "Report." Choose the reason (harassment, fake profile, inappropriate content, etc.) and submit. Our moderation team will review and take action. You can also email us at [email protected] with details.

Can I delete my account?

+
Yes. Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account in the app. Your profile and messages will be removed. We may retain some information as required for legal and compliance purposes. This action cannot be undone.

Is the Uber integration safe?

+
The Uber integration is built into the App to streamline ride coordination. Your Uber account is separate and secured by Uber. We recommend always reviewing your destination and confirming the ride details before confirming. Uber's support team can be reached through their app.

What if I encounter a bug or technical issue?

+
Email us at [email protected] with a description of the issue, your device type, iOS version, and steps to reproduce. Include screenshots if possible. We'll investigate and respond with a fix or workaround. We're continuously improving the App.

Do you sell my data?

+
No. We don't sell your data. We use trusted third-party services to keep the app running securely, but your personal information stays private. For the full details on how your data is handled, read our Privacy Policy.

Is Smash App available outside iOS?

+
Currently, Smash App is only available on iOS. Android support is planned for future release. Keep checking the App Store for updates.
